We are Carlo and Max van Tricht. Father and son, and together the owners of Sunspa Het Gooi. With Welsa, we bring our choices in design, materials and warmth together in one sauna: the Cube.

Calm begins with the space.
We started Welsa with the wish to give relaxation its own place at home. A place where you can take time away from the day more often, alone or together. To us, that calls for a sauna in which everything works together: the layout, the warmth, the light and the details you use every day. That idea shaped how we put the Cube together.
From a line on paper to a place in your garden.
We developed this range together with architects. The Cube’s clear lines create the frame; panoramic glass opens the view outside. Charred wood gives the exterior character, while thermally modified aspen brings a warm appearance inside. We choose these materials together. The contrast between outside and inside is part of the same design.
Warmth takes its own shape.
We chose the HUUM DROP for its design, quality and the way it releases heat. Its rounded shape and visible stones sit naturally alongside the wood, offering a quiet contrast to the Cube’s straight lines. Mounted on the wall, the heater becomes part of the interior.
Its construction matters too: the DROP holds 55 kg of sauna stones. They store heat and release it again. HUUM designed the open stone basket for gentle, lasting steam when water is poured over the stones. In the Cube, we pair the heater with HUUM controls and app control, bringing form and everyday use together.

The length and depth of a bench shape how you sit or lie down. Indirect lighting changes how the wood looks and feels. The position of the door shapes how you enter and how the sauna fits your garden. That is why we pay attention to these choices. A detail does not need to stand out to influence your time in the sauna.
Together, it becomes a Welsa.
