How we guide your installation.
We agree what is needed, who will carry out each task and how it will be scheduled. Welsa remains your point of contact.
We assess your location.
We assess crane access, foundations and options for the electrical connection. Photos and details of the site help us identify anything that needs further investigation.
Understand the costs in advance
You receive a personal proposal showing the sauna price and separately quoted work. We agree what Welsa organises, what you may arrange yourself and the total for the agreed project.
Our own team installs the sauna.
The Cube arrives assembled. Our team positions the sauna and installs the equipment, usually within 4–6 hours.
We guide you through handover.
We explain use and maintenance. We remain available after handover.
What is included?
The proposal lists the sauna price and the work at your site separately, showing what is included and how the project total is calculated.
Included in the sauna price
- VAT and your chosen Cube specification.
- 9 kW HUUM heater and Wi-Fi control through the HUUM app.
- Delivery within the Netherlands and installation by our own Welsa team.
- Guidance on use and maintenance at handover.
Charged separately
- Crane hire: always charged separately.
- Electrical preparation and connection: available through our regular tradespeople on request.
- Decking, ground preparation and other additional work: on request.
- Requirements for the Cube 300 shower area are discussed for each site.
Delivery and installation on the Dutch mainland are included. For Belgium, islands and other locations, we assess access and transport by postcode. We explain the possibilities and additional costs beforehand.
What does your garden need?
You do not need to have all the answers yet. We start with your preferred location and work out the preparation together.
Before installation day
- Load-bearing, level base with support beneath every foot.
- Drainage provided and ventilation gap beneath the floor kept clear.
- Access route, crane position and working space agreed with us.
- Beneath a shelter: at least 260 cm clear installation height for the 170, 200 and 240.
- Electrical preparation agreed with an electrician.
- Foundation assessed for the load, ground conditions and chosen model.
Location and base
The base must be level, stable and load-bearing. Allow no more than approximately 5 mm of level variation across the entire area. Every adjustable foot needs solid support.
A reinforced concrete slab, suitable separate concrete slabs, a well-supported timber deck or an engineered point foundation may be suitable. Have the bearing capacity, slab thickness, reinforcement and any point loads assessed for your soil and location.
Provide drainage so water cannot pool beneath or around the sauna. Keep a ventilation gap beneath the floor.
Access and crane hire
Send us an overview photo of the intended position, photos of the access route and a photo or video of any obstacles. These might include a gate, trees, a shelter or a building between the road and the installation position.
We assess delivery access, space for the crane and the distance to the sauna. Working space is needed around the sauna. If photos, videos and Google Maps are not enough, we visit the site free of charge.
A crane is always charged separately. You can arrange it yourself or ask Welsa to do so. You receive a cost estimate in advance.
Power, Wi-Fi and the shower area
The electrical connection is not included. Our regular tradespeople can install it on request. Have an electrician assess the power supply and connection required for the 9 kW HUUM DROP in advance.
On the Cube 170, 200 and 240, the cables exit at the bottom centre of the rear wall. Allow for this when planning the cable route. We agree the precise connection requirements in advance.
HUUM app control requires a working internet connection at the sauna. For the Cube 300, we also discuss the services required for the shower area.
Beneath a shelter
The Cube 170, 200 and 240 need at least 260 cm of clear installation height beneath a shelter. We also assess the space needed for transport, lifting and work around the sauna.
The Cube is designed for outdoor installation. Installation inside an existing room requires a separate assessment of ventilation, moisture and heat.
Weight and foundation dimensions
The approximate sauna unit weights are 945 kg for the Cube 170, 1,095 kg for the Cube 200 and 1,270 kg for the Cube 240. These exclude occupants and heater fill/stones.
Have the foundation assessed for the full load, including users and equipment. The foot positions and steel base dimensions differ from the sauna’s external dimensions. We agree a foundation plan for your model in advance; do not use the external dimensions as a support-point drawing.
When can your Cube be installed?

Construction: 5 years
Welsa provides a 5-year warranty on the construction of the Welsa Cube. Our involvement continues after your sauna has been installed. If you notice a problem with the structure, we will assess your report and discuss the next step with you. You can contact Welsa directly for this.
HUUM heater and controls
HUUM’s manufacturer warranty covers material and manufacturing defects. See the periods, conditions and key exclusions for the heater and controls below.

| Product | Private use | Commercial use |
|---|---|---|
| Electric heater | 3 years | 1 year |
| UKU controls | 3 years | 1 year |

From purchase. HUUM treats rental and over 1,500 hours of use per 12 months as commercial.
Which HUUM parts are excluded?
HUUM excludes heating elements, sensors, sauna stones, accessories, wear and damage from misuse, among other exclusions.
Installation, use and maintenance
Have electrical work carried out by a qualified electrician. Follow the manuals for your heater and controls during installation, use and maintenance; do not modify the controls yourself. Keep the manuals near your sauna. The UKU manual refers to the separate HUUM warranty terms.
HUUM UKU WiFi/Local — EU manual (PDF)How do you report a problem?
Contact Welsa promptly. HUUM requires reporting within 30 days of discovery, with invoice, model/serial number, usage conditions and photos if possible. Report visible delivery damage within 7 days and before installation.
info@welsa.nlResolution and possible costs
HUUM assesses repair, replacement or compensation. Non-warranty cases may incur assessment, labour and travel costs. Ask Welsa to clarify any costs beforehand.
This describes the commercial warranties. Your statutory rights against Welsa remain, including when a part is excluded from HUUM’s manufacturer warranty or its period has expired. HUUM’s reporting deadlines do not replace your statutory rights. Always contact us if there is a problem.
Summary checked on 23 September 2026. Read the full document for all conditions and exclusions. These HUUM terms are separate from Welsa’s construction warranty.
Ordering, payment & service
From your first enquiry to using your Cube: here is what to expect.
Discuss your plans first
Your configuration or visit request is not an order. We first discuss the specification, your location, additional costs and schedule. You can then decide based on a personal proposal.
Payment in two stages
30% when ordering and 70% at installation and handover. The configurator shows the split of the sauna price. Crane hire and additional works are discussed separately.
Here for you after installation
We explain use and maintenance at handover. If you have a question later, Welsa remains your point of contact. We will contact you personally within 24 hours to discuss it.
What would you like to know before ordering?
What does my Cube cost including installation?
The configurator shows the sauna price including VAT, selected options, HUUM heater, app control, and delivery and installation on the Dutch mainland. Crane, electrical connection, base preparation and any water connections are separate. We discuss these costs for your location.
See included and separate costsWhich model suits us and our garden?
Compare seating and bench length as well as external dimensions. The Cube 170 seats up to four compactly, the 200 seats four and the 240 seats five. The 300 has sauna space for four, like the 200, plus a separate shower area. We assess working and maintenance clearance separately.
Compare Cube modelsCan the Cube get into my garden?
We assess the access route, obstacles and space for transport and any crane. Send photos or a video of the route after our first contact. If a remote assessment is insufficient, we visit the location at no cost.
What base or foundation is needed?
The base must be level, stable and load-bearing, with drainage and ventilation beneath the floor. The correct design depends on your model, soil and total load. Do not use external dimensions as a foundation drawing; we agree on the plan beforehand.
What should the electrician prepare?
Have the supply and connection for the HUUM DROP 9 kW assessed beforehand. We coordinate cable routing and connection details for your Cube and location. In Belgium, we also check the actual supply configuration. The HUUM app requires a working internet connection at the sauna.
Do I need a permit?
This depends on your plot, the position and local rules. Use the Dutch Vergunningcheck in the Netherlands. In Flanders, check the conditions for detached outbuildings and ask your municipality if needed. Flemish rules do not automatically apply to Brussels or Wallonia. Also consider sightlines, privacy and neighbouring properties.
How much energy does the sauna use and what maintenance is needed?
The heater is rated at 9 kW: one hour continuously at full power equals 9 kWh mathematically. This is not a fixed consumption per session; temperature, weather, control cycles and duration vary. At handover, we explain ventilation, cleaning and stone checks.
When can I use my Cube?
First deliveries start from November 2026. We agree the installation date personally, based on specification, location and schedule. Non-stock models usually have an indicative lead time of 6–10 weeks. Installation itself typically takes 4–6 hours.
What warranty do I have and who helps with a problem?
Welsa provides a 5-year construction warranty. The HUUM heater and controls are covered by HUUM’s warranty terms. Welsa remains your point of contact. Your statutory rights remain unaffected.
See warranty and supportWhen does my enquiry become an order and when do I pay?
A configuration or advice request is not an order. We first discuss the specification, installation, additional costs and schedule. A confirmed order requires a 30% deposit, with 70% due at installation and handover. Discuss questions about changes or cancellation before accepting.
Ordering, payment & serviceInstallation at a B&B or holiday home
We discuss guest numbers, available space and who will oversee use and maintenance. This lets us tailor the configuration and installation to your property.
